Thanks for a great site..I believe Edmonton is where Canada's original music comes from.. We're still at it with 'The Royal Family 'and TROYKA - now on Rhino Records .( Robert Edwards. Ron Lukawitski and Michael Richards) I've also had the privilege of being in Edmonton's great bands such as Haiku . Spiney Norman's Whoopee Band, Manna , Hot Cottage Blues Band and was involved in many recording projects with Holger Petersen. You should be bringing in one of the Van Halen tribute acts like Fan Halen or Atomic Punks..Atomic Punks also have a Motley Crue tribute and a Rish tribute, that would make a great triple bill.

This was my first year at the Rock Fest, I was a volunteer and it was so awesome to help out at this event, and having the chance to meet many Rock n Roll Legends. I was April Wines driver and those guys are amazing people, amazing Rockers, and it was such an honor to get to know them we all shared a few good laughs, and my son who also volunteered and helped with security was star struck when he got to meet April Wine Thanks a bunch Rock N Roll society for giving us this chance to help out and YES!! I will continue to volunteer for anything you need me for just call me when ever ...

This was my first event. I was there Fri at 4pm Sat at 11 am I caught everything that was on offer and it was amazing! The Bands that stuck out for me were Prism, Trooper and the Recolection blues band gotta tell you I play and am honoured to know Arun Bhamick prob the best guitarist in Canada or amoungst those elite. I also have the good grace of knowing Zac Wylde who no one could argue has his place in rock n roll glory, With Ozzy and The Black Label Society, So i kinda like the guitar as you can tell. That Recolection Blues Band had the best guitarist of this venue. He caught mt attention when he broke a string on the Les Paul and went for his secondary guitar, The strat two very different guitars. I thought to myself lets see what this guys does because evryone can shred on there pref axe but pick up something that different and see what happens! Flawless abosolutely nailed every note! WTF turn up the volume please! But i could barely hear this monster as the vol was on low on that guitar please invite this band back! Turn up the volume on his guitar! I will gladely pay the price of admission just to hear him play his Paul, If the man can do that blues rock with that strat I wanna hear him play his Paul please let me hear the Paul and if you know of any local venues where these guys are slated to play please send me an email. Great music great venue great crowd great weather. Just as i thought old rockers never die they just get a rocking chair LOL.

This old rocker is gonna need some serious Aleeve and such to recover from the dancing and friviolity from the 2nd Annual Rock & Roll Society Rock Fest at Hawelak Park! Worth every ache and pain! Beautiful weather, beautiful people, lots of youngsters and oh ya, the MUSIC!!! ROCK ON!

Looking forward to my first outdoor concert in Edmonton since moving back from Ontario. Excited for Saturdays line-up but it would have been nice to have had one of the bands on Saturday#s line-up on Friday to start the weekend with a bang. Sad that my rommie couldnt get the Saturday off so bringin galpal instead.Hope everyone has a safe, fun rockin time!

im lovin the lineup for the 2012 show-- just wish prism was on the saturday lineup-- so i can go say hi to one of my old teachers who is one of the guitar players for prism, from this computer course i took way back in 2000, on the coast of BC Canada. he was a great teacher. I also love their music--grew up with most of the line up bands that are for the 2012 fest. gonna be an awesome show!!
