Mike Braniff, Director

Mike joined the Board of Directors for the Rock and Roll Society of Edmonton in January 2023.

He is a former CAM mentor (2012) and a current Board member for Tushfest Musical Society of Edmonton (since 2009) 

Asked to name his favourite local bands/musicians, he had this to say: “I truly can't answer this without leaving out some friends...so I'll say all of them!”

In his opinion, the best rockstar/s of all time are Freddy Mercury, Paul McCartney, and Randy Bachman.

After performing live for over 40 years, Mike wanted to give back to a new generation, sharing what he feels to be important tips, information, and advice for young music careers, and to use his expertise and experience to help with special live events related to the Rock and Roll Society.

When asked about the ways in which he’s a badass, Mike answers:

“I was a badass in the late 80's playing Ozzy in a tribute act, biting the heads off fake bats & doves, crawling out of a coffin, and leaving a general mess behind on every stage we performed the show in.”
