Sandy Staples, Director

Sandy joined the Rock and Roll Society of Edmonton’s Board of Directors in January 2023.      

Although she is new to the Board, she’s not new to volunteering with the Society. Sandy was in charge of the VIP tent for several years, and before that she bartended at Rockfest. She has always been willing to help out at our events.

She has been involved with many charity events, including silent and live auctions. Sandy is a huge fan of live music ! 

Her favourite local bands/musicians are Chrome and Chronic Rock.

In her opinion the best rockstars of all time are AC/DC.

Sandy was a self-described “band groupie” in the 1980’s.  The song that best describes her outlook on life is Eddy Money’s “2 Tickets to Paradise” because she’s spontaneous and loves to travel. 

When asked what motivated her to get involved as a Board member, she answered:

“ I love kids and I also want to do anything I can to help charities!”
